The most recent data from 2021 reports this industry generated more than $8.6 billion in economic impact in the region and supported 76,700 jobs for Greater Philadelphia residents.

Diversity Fellowship Program
Visit Philadelphia’s Diversity Fellowship Program will create professional opportunities to increase the number of diverse people in tourism and marketing within the hospitality industry. People from diverse backgrounds will engage in a six-month fellowship that provides opportunities to work in a hands-on setting promoting Philadelphia and the region’s vibrant culture.

Job Training Resources in Greater Philadelphia
The Food and Hospitality Management Department combines rigorous academics, industry projects and partnerships to help students enter this industry as leaders.
The School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) has a distinguished tradition preparing leaders in the sport, recreation, tourism and hospitality industries.
The Philadelphia OIC provides a range of job training, education and related programs and services that help people get the skills and experience they need to get good jobs.
Founded in 1974 as The Restaurant School, Walnut Hill College is one of Philadelphia’s first colleges to focus on excellence in hospitality education.
With the Tourism and Hospitality Management Associate in Arts degree students will gain an understanding of the management principles and theories that put them on the path towards a rewarding career in various segments of the hospitality industry.
JNA Institute of Culinary Arts has provided quality training for the food service industry since 1988. With a strong concern for educational excellence and a proud record of job placement, the school maintains an excellent reputation among students, graduates and employers.
